The editors of uznayvse.ru recall that the Spanish prosecutor’s office stated that Cristiano Ronaldo used the company he created in 2010 to hide his income from the authorities. The local Ministry of Finance joined the prosecutor’s office, claiming a football player’s fraud in the amount of approximately 15 million euros. All violations of tax evasion threaten one of the most famous players in the world with a punishment of imprisonment of up to five years.
Earlier it was reported that Ronaldo wants to leave the team "Real Madrid" because of charges of tax evasion by the prosecutor's office of Spain. Last year, Ronaldo’s colleague, Barcelona’s forward Lionel Messi, was also convicted in Spain for not paying taxes of more than four million euros. Initially, Messi received a suspended sentence of 21 months, but then the punishment was replaced with a fine of 252 thousand euros.
