How to connect a USB flash drive to Android phone
In fact, it is quite easy to connect a flash drive to a smartphone or tablet on Android - special skills are not required for this. But you need a special cable - a microUSB-USB adapter with OTG support. A USB flash drive is connected to the full-size USB port of the adapter, and the microUSB connector is inserted into the port of a smartphone or tablet. If your device does not have a regular microUSB port, but a proprietary one, you will have to look for a special adapter cable for this connector.
But it is not enough to connect a USB flash drive to Android - you also need to get to its contents. This will require a file manager that allows you to see file folders on your smartphone or tablet. Any of Google Play will do - for example, the ES Explorer application is very popular.
If the flash drive is not visible in the file manager, you will have to install the Nexus Media Importer paid application. It is intended primarily for Google Nexus devices, but also works with other models on Android.
