  • Trout steaks (about 600-700 g);

  • One and a half teaspoons rosemary;
  • Three tablespoons of olive oil;
  • Salt pepper.

The fact is that there are several options for cooking such a steak. However, it is believed that the best option is the traditional for all of us frying fish in a pan. Marinate the pieces of fish in seasoned lemon juice before cooking. Then the fish will turn out very tender, fragrant and incredibly tasty.

Trout steaks are transversely sliced ​​pieces of the fish carcass itself. You can both make them yourself and buy them in any large store. To begin with, such pieces should be defrosted and rinsed under the pressure of ordinary tap water. Each piece should be sprinkled with salt, pepper and rosemary on all sides. After that, sprinkle the trout with lemon juice, you can mix, and leave for twenty minutes.

Next, take the pan and heat in it three tablespoons of olive oil. Put the steaks in the pan and fry from two sides, on medium heat, for about 7-8 minutes. Then make a weak fire, cover the pan with a lid and cook another 5-10 minutes.

The finished dish can be served with potatoes or, for example, with rice. Dry white wine goes well with trout steaks.

How to cook trout in foil

The peculiarity of such a trout dish is not only that the fish is baked in foil, but also that it is cooked whole. That is, it is not necessary to cut it into pieces.

Ingredients required:

  • 400-500 g of trout (it can be one fish carcass);
  • Half a lemon;
  • One tablespoon of olive or vegetable oil;
  • One bunch of parsley;
  • Salt;
  • Freshly ground pepper;
  • Special foil for baking.

Wash the fish, remove all the insides, gills, then wash and dry once more. Foil folded in several layers and lay trout on it. Fish rubbed with salt and pepper, both inside and outside. Cut lemon into slices. Using a few circles of lemon, combine its juice with one tablespoon of oil. This mixture is also coated with fish. On one side of the fish carcass we make cuts and insert lemon slices into them. Greens chop and fill it with the belly of trout. Cover the fish with foil on all sides. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes.
