Wax Barack Obama was installed near the Eiffel Tower and attracted the attention of both tourists and locals. Because of the hot weather in the capital of France, the figure began to melt, and the guard attached to it opened an umbrella over Obama's head.
From the center of Paris, the sculpture was sent to the city wax museum of Grevin. Now, a copy of the American leader is next to the sculptures of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and several US presidents, including Franklin Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.
Sculptor Eric San Shafrey (Eric Saint Chaffray), who is the creator of Obama's wax figure, said that he had never seen Barack Obama live. "The most difficult thing was that while working on a copy of the President of the United States, I could not focus on a living person.I had to use the photographs and video recordings in which Obama was captured, ”the artist explained.
